Internationally acclaimed musician Buck Curran (USA) has been drawing and painting since
childhood. In the year 2000, he began to focus on watercolor painting using a spontaneous
brushstroke technique (preferring primarily to work within the medium of lamp black watercolor
and using a japanese calligraphy brush). Since 2000, Curran has sold 125 of his paintings
throughout America, Europe and England. In 2016, one of his watercolor paintings was used for
the cover art for the recording 'Basket Full of Dragons': a Tribute to Robbie Basho Vol 2
(ESP-Disk'/Obsolete Recordings), an album which features a lineup of internationally renowned
musicians.
Another area of artistic work for Curran is with guitar design and fabrication (with a primary
focus on artistic aesthetics, sound, and functionality/playability). In 2004, he debuted the
prototype of his unique 'Butterfly' model acoustic guitar design.
