Oolalala Factory
Oolalala Factory is a cultural and artistic space located within the Docks Dora of Turin, a former industrial area redeveloped into what is now the city's creative hub. The Factory hosts a diverse and dynamic community of visual artists, photographers, filmmakers, illustrators, curators, and contemporary art professionals. Although the resident group is not very large, the variety of profiles encourages experimentation, production, and dialogue, giving rise to open and continuously evolving cultural synergies.
Within this context, Oolalala Gallery has found its Turin home. The exhibition space is dedicated to promoting emerging and international artists, with a special focus on practices that reflect the transformations of the contemporary world. Showcasing new talents—both Italian and foreign—has always been a strategic component of the curatorial project.
The gallery has over ten years of activity and was founded in London in 2015. It is the result of an independent vision, developed through participation in international fairs, temporary exhibitions, and collaborations with artists and institutions in various countries. Among the most significant experiences are projects in Switzerland and the United States, particularly in Miami. After the closure of the UK company due to Brexit and the subsequent setback caused by the pandemic, Oolalala found new life in Italy, while maintaining an active international network of contacts.
Today, Oolalala Factory is not just a gallery or a workspace: it is a vision in motion, a cultural laboratory that continues to seek new connections, languages, and paths for contemporary art.
The Factory's large and flexible spaces transform into photographic sets, stages for live performances, equipped rooms for readings, intimate concerts, offering a multifunctional environment that supports and enhances the various forms of artistic and cultural expression.
It is possible to collaborate with the resident professionals or to propose the use of the spaces, with terms and schedules to be agreed upon through a temporary contract.
